Every time one of my couples asks me what they should do for their engagement session, I always give the same answer. You can make your engagement session as unique and special to your relationship as you want.
Now what do I mean by that? I mean, go to the root of what you both love. Maybe you have a park you walk your dog to every day, a coffee shop you love to have Sunday morning dates at, a favorite pizza place you always order from, or a favorite room in your home together. Finding the little (or big) things in your life that makes your relationship special in its own way can be represented through your engagement session.
For Bailey + Jack, it was the home next door that they recently bought and are going to be renovating. They wanted to capture not just the bones of their home, but the structure of what it was when they first bought it. As a time capsule to remember what used to be, before they perfectly crafted their quaint and cozy new home.
We spent the first bit of their engagement session dancing around to 60s romance music and running to different parts of the home to capture certain moments of golden light. And after, we went to a park in a neighborhood fond with memories that their families held throughout the years.
This day will forever be a cherished favorite of mine.
